The Wind Beneath Your Wings: A Cosplay Crafting Workshop

Join us at the library for a creative, confidence-boosting teen workshop where you’ll design your own pair of symbolic wings! Each participant will build a set of wings using feathers inscribed with words and affirmations written by others in the group—qualities, strengths, and traits that make you uniquely you. As the feathers come together, so does a powerful reminder of how you’re seen and valued by your community. Come ready to create, connect, and leave lifted by the positive words that help you soar.

Acompáñanos en la biblioteca durante un taller creativo para adolescentes en el que diseñarás tu propio par de alas simbólicas y reafirmarás tu confianza. Cada participante construirá un par de alas utilizando plumas grabadas con palabras y afirmaciones escritas por otros en el grupo — cualidades, fortalezas y las cualidades que te hacen ser excepcionalmente tú. Conforme las plumas se van uniendo, irá surgiendo un poderoso recordatorio sobre la manera en que otras personas en la comunidad te perciben y te valoran. Ven y prepárate para crear y conectar, y regresa a casa con el impulso de palabras positivas que te ayudarán a volar.
