This class will be held at Rock Bottom Ranch

Join us for a creative evening at beautiful Rock Bottom Ranch! We’ll begin with a guided birding walk led by an ACES Bird Guide Rebecca Weiss as we look for the Cedar Waxwing—silky browns, grays, and yellows, with a bold black mask and expressive crest—and observe its behavior in habitat. Then artist Amy Beidleman will guide you through watercolor techniques and materials to bring the Waxwing to life on paper. the Cedar Waxwing outdoors in watercolor—capturing its soft neutrals, bold mask, and bright yellow accents. Learn sketch-to-paint basics, color mixing, layering washes, and easy feather techniques while enjoying fresh air and beautiful scenery.
